1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing libertybudget.app, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you disagree, do not use the service.

2. Description of Service

Liberty Budget is a personal budgeting tool that allows you to:

  • Import financial transactions via CSV files
  • Track income and expenses
  • Create budgets and savings goals
  • Generate financial reports
3. Account Registration

To use Liberty Budget, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Provide accurate registration information
  • Maintain the security of your password
  • Notify us of any unauthorized access

You are responsible for all activity under your account.

4. Subscription and Trial

Gold Plan:

  • $8.99/mo or $74.99/yr (pricing may vary by region/taxes)
  • Unlimited CSV imports
  • Unlimited transaction history
  • Advanced reports
  • Pricing may be offered and locked at signup at our discretion

Trial Terms:

  • New accounts receive a 30-day full-feature trial
  • No credit card is required to start the trial
  • Liberty Budget does not provide an ongoing freemium tier after trial
  • When trial access ends, continued use requires an active paid subscription
5. Payment Terms
  • Gold subscriptions are billed via Stripe
  • Billing occurs on your renewal date (monthly or annually)
  • You can cancel anytime from your account settings
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
  • Refunds available within 7 days of initial subscription only
  • No refunds after 7 days or for partial months/periods
6. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

  • Share your account with others
  • Upload malicious files
  • Attempt to hack or disrupt the service
  • Use the service for illegal purposes
  • Violate any applicable laws
7. Data Accuracy Disclaimer

IMPORTANT: Liberty Budget is a tool, not financial advice.

  • You are responsible for the accuracy of data you upload
  • We do not verify or validate your transaction data
  • We do not provide financial, investment, or tax advice
  • Reports are based solely on your uploaded data
  • We make no guarantees about calculation accuracy
  • You are solely responsible for your financial decisions
8. Intellectual Property
  • Liberty Budget's code and design are owned by Liberty, LLC
  • Your uploaded data remains yours
  • You grant us permission to store and process your data to provide the service
9. Limitation of Liability

Liberty Budget is provided "AS IS" without warranties.

We are not liable for:

  • Inaccurate reports or calculations
  • Financial losses
  • Data loss (though we take reasonable steps to protect data)
  • Service interruptions
  • Third-party issues (Stripe, hosting, etc.)

Maximum liability: Amount you paid us in the last 12 months.

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account if you:

  • Violate these Terms
  • Engage in fraudulent activity
  • Request account deletion

You may terminate by requesting account deletion at any time.

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms with 30 days notice via email. Continued use means you accept the changes.

12. Changes to Pricing

We may change pricing with 30 days notice. If your account includes a locked founder price, that price remains in effect while your subscription stays active.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Michigan, United States.

14. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration in Michigan, United States.
