The Person Behind Liberty Budget
Simon Salaev built Liberty Budget for people who want a clear budget without giving an app ongoing access to their bank.
Why I Built It
A budget should not require a standing connection to your bank
I started Liberty Budget because I wanted to understand where my money was going without authorizing an app to keep pulling account data. Liberty Budget uses a deliberate CSV workflow instead: you decide what to upload and when.
The product is built around the questions I wanted answered: Where did my income go? Which categories are changing? Will an irregular month push cash flow negative? The Sankey dashboard and forecasting tools make those answers visible.
Who is responsible for the product?
I build and maintain Liberty Budget and answer for its product and privacy decisions. The public project history on GitHub shows the work as it changes, and support questions go to support@libertybudget.app.
You can leave with your data
You can export your transactions as CSV or JSON, cancel without a long-term contract, and permanently delete your account from your profile. Liberty Budget is meant to be useful because it fits your workflow, not because your data is trapped.
